iPhone leaks and rumors, rated by source
We track 33 claims from 17 sources about Apple's unreleased iPhones. Every one names who reported it and carries a rating, so you can tell a Bloomberg report from a YouTube thumbnail at a glance.
Rumor, not fact. Everything here is reporting and speculation. Apple has announced none of it. Each claim is rated by how good its sourcing is.

Gurman: "curved glass around all corners and edges"
Bloomberg's Mark Gurman calls the anniversary iPhone the biggest overhaul to the Pro line since iPhone X, and lays out Apple's roadmap: iPhone 18 and 18e in spring 2027, iPhone Air 2, the 20th-anniversary Pro and Pro Max, and a second-generation foldable — then a third-generation foldable in 2028.

Hole-punch renders surface — and look AI-generated
Yogesh Brar posts renders of the anniversary iPhone with a hole-punch selfie camera. Coverage flags a missing Camera Control and odd-looking buttons, consistent with generated imagery. The same day, Fixed Focus Digital says the curved glass will borrow iPhone Air's assembly process.

Bloomberg: the glass redesign is still on
A day after the cancellation note, Bloomberg reports Apple's glass-centric 20th-anniversary iPhone remains on track for 2027. The same report describes glass on the front and back curving into the sides, a metal band in the middle, and two models known internally as V73 and V74.

The name "iPhone 20" enters circulation

How we rate sources
Not all leaks are equal, and most bad iPhone coverage comes from treating them as if they were. We sort every source into one of four tiers by track record, and weight their claims accordingly. When a higher tier contradicts a lower one, the higher tier wins. When two credible sources disagree, we say so instead of picking.
Tier 1: Strong track record
Reporters and analysts with a long, checkable history of accurate Apple calls. When they conflict with anyone below, we weight them higher.
Mark Gurman (Bloomberg) · Bloomberg · Ross Young (display analyst) · The Information
Tier 2: Analysts & trade press
Financial analysts, established Apple publications and supply-chain trade reporting. Informed, but often secondhand or model-driven rather than sourced from inside Apple.
Edison Lee (Jefferies) · Heo Moo-yeol (Omdia) · ETNews · MacRumors · Macworld · AppleInsider · Supply-chain reports
Tier 3: Hit-or-miss
Social-media leakers and personalities with a mixed record. Sometimes early and right, sometimes flatly wrong. Treat as a lead, not a fact.
Fixed Focus Digital (Weibo) · yeux1122 (Naver) · Digital Chat Station (Weibo) · Instant Digital (Weibo) · Yogesh Brar · Jon Prosser
Tier 4: Unverified
Claims that trace back to video or social coverage rather than any established supply-chain reporter. These deserve the most skepticism.
YouTube coverage
A note on Jon Prosser, because his iPhone 20 concept video is widely shared: MacRumors describes his Apple track record as mixed, and Apple is currently suing him over iOS 26 leaks. We list what he claims and rate it accordingly.
What the ratings mean
- LikelyBacked by a top-tier source and not contradicted, or near-certain on engineering or naming grounds.
- PlausibleCredibly reported, but single-sourced or from mid-tier sources. Could easily change before launch.
- DisputedCredible sources actively disagree. We show both sides rather than pick one.
- ShakyWeak sourcing, unclear origin, or contradicted by a stronger source.
FAQ
What is the next iPhone?
The standard iPhone 18 and iPhone 18e, expected in spring 2027. After that come iPhone Air 2, a second-generation foldable and the 20th-anniversary iPhone — widely called iPhone 20 — in the second half of 2027.
Who is the most reliable source for iPhone leaks?
Bloomberg's Mark Gurman has the strongest record on Apple's product plans. Veteran display analyst Ross Young is the most reliable on screens, and The Information is strong on Apple's internal operations. Weibo leakers and YouTube personalities are hit-or-miss.
Are iPhone leaks accurate?
It depends entirely on the source and on how far out the product is. Reports from proven reporters a few months before launch are usually right. Single social-media posts about a phone a year away frequently are not. That is why every claim on this site carries a rating.
How often is this page updated?
Whenever a credible new report lands. The date at the top of every page shows the last change, and the timeline records what changed and who reported it.
Is any of this confirmed by Apple?
No. Apple does not comment on unannounced products. Everything in this section is third-party reporting and should be read as rumor until Apple announces it.
